Michael Poliza’sThe World, originally published in 2019 as a strictly limited-edition XXL volume, was rightly hailed as one of the outstanding books of the year. "The Guardian" called it “an eloquent response to the notion that coffee-table books no longer have a place in an Instagram world.” And "The Times of London" called it “an impressive volume that brings together the breathtaking images Michael Poliza captured on his adventures in 170 countries around the globe.”
This collection of the renowned landscape and wildlife photographer’s best shots from all seven continents was reissued in 2020 as a “compact” edition. Poliza’s images pay homage to the incredible beauty and diversity of our planet while also serving as a warning of what is at stake due to climate change, species extinction, and tourism for tourism’s sake.
